Where to go for a Wedding Dress?!

Where to go for a Wedding Dress?!

Hey Ladies! I am super excited to go for my first dress shopping experience. But i do not know where I should go.

So at the moment I think my budget is $1200 (I have not talked to FH about this but i don't care ! lol )

I was going to go to Babylon Village Bridal & Boutique or Bridal Reflections in Massapequa.

The dilemma I am facing is that I do not want to go to a place where all they have is $2,000 + dresses and get depressed that i cannot afford it.

Any ideas or suggestions?!?

BTW I live in the West Babylon area, so I do not want to go too far :)

I would suggest Lillete's, Bridal Elegance, Helen's. I think you can find plenty in your price range but I don't know about finding it at Bridal Reflections.

I was in about the same price range as you and I visited:
David's Bridal
Macy's Demetrios Salon
RK Bridal
Bridal Reflection Massepequa.
Out of these I would recommend the 1st three. Bridal reflections told me their gowns started at 1200 but everything she brought me was over that price. They do have some beautiful gowns though.

I recommend taking a trip to the city one morning and going to RK, they have a large selection and their prices are great.

I got mine at the Demetrios store at Macy's in Smithhaven Mall

I went to
David's Bridal (Lake Grove or Massapequa locations)
Bridal Suite of Bay Shore
Bridal Suite of Centereach
Helen's in Commack
Fantasia Bridal (loved them!)

Good luck in your search!!

Thanks so much for all of the suggestions. I think i am going to shy away from Bridal Reflections and stick with Babylon Village and see what happens there.

Thanks again :)

I know of a place in forest hills, queens which has a nice selectionnat great prices and its a boutique. I thought my dress would be much more expensive and it ended up being a total steal, less than 2k for sure.

I got my dress at the Bridal Suite of Centereach and all the dresses I tried on were between $800-$1200. Good luck!

I had an excellent experience with Helen's in Commack! And my gown was MUCH less than 2,000! Plus they offer a promotion where you can get either 100 off your gown or a free veil up to $250 (I think?), so it's another chance to save. I worked with Ashley, she was so, so patient and accommodating!

Check out local boutiques by your house. That's what I did and found a great deal.

Def try RK Bridal... so many choices and all different prices. You can definitely get a dress under 1,200

Good Luck!

I'd definitely recommend the Vera Wang White Collection at David's Bridal. The dresses are gorgeous and I think the most expensive dress is $1200-$1400. Good luck!

Crashing......

If this is Alexandra Boutique I for sure agree! They are having a HUGE sample sale too going on now. Just picked up my dress yesterday from there.

I also recommend Bridal World in Baldwin

Haha Jmrosa1!

Congrats!
I actually bought my dress the week before the sample sale but I still know it was a great price. I'd rather deal with smaller boutiques like this JMHO. I've done larger places for my sweet 16 gown, etc and have had nightmares. I think we made a good choice

Yep!! I stumbled upon that place looking for a specific dress....went and ended up purchasing a different dress than I originally went for. Joseph is super nice..and gave me a deal on my BM dresses since I ordered my dress from there too.
