I coudl use some help picking a destination! We have it between Cape May, Cape Cod, Mystic and Martha's Vineyard. It has to be somewhere fairly resonable, we are on a tight budget and someplace that can keep entertained for 3 days! Thanks!

No really, we always went to Montauk for Labor Day weekend and had a great time.

There is a very wide variety of prices in montauk. FH & I used to go there when we were in HS (we used to surf) I unfortunately haven't been out there ina few years, but places like the Panoramic View were always reasonable.

I would recommend cape cod. My second choice would be martha's vineyard. We liked it - but honestly - there is really not much to do - and by the time you get thru the traffic and then take the ferry it is usually not worth the hassel. I like cape cod - parts are nicer than others and NOT as crowded. There is also more to do- you can go into chatham and go shopping or see a play (we have seen some well known stars who have done things there - a number of years ago we saw spalding gray) you can go whale watching etc.

i TOOK MY FH to cape may last year for his birthday and we loved it. we rented bicycles and rode around looking at the beautiful victorian houses. If you stay in a B&D it is quite expensive but there are regular hotels. there is a website.

I'd say Cape Cod too. Great town with lots to do. I've heard Newport is a lot of fun as well.

How about Ocean City, Maryland? The drive's probably about the same to Martha's Vineyard.. it's a real nice beach town with a great boardwalk. Just a thought!

Actually you we used to rent a great 2 bedroom 1 floor and a loft on a golf course - there are some great deals on places like that instead of hotels if you look around. The place had a 4 outdoor and 2 indoor pools so if you didn't feel like going to the beach and you wanted a quick swim or the weather was bad you had some options
If you go - make sure yoiu hit emack and bolios!
