Please help me choose We are going during huricane season, so I say Aruba but, Sandals seems to have nicer rooms and alot more to do. HELP

I voted St. Lucia. I am not too keen on Aruba considering that whole thing with Natalie Halloway- the girl that went missing. The whole law system pissed me off so that's why I chose St. Lucia.

hi.. Ive been to aruba twice now with DH and honestly, we love it!
We stayed at the Westin one year and the occidental for our HM.
Ive heard st. Lucia is gorgeous too.

My parents have gone to St. Lucia and rave about it. They've stayed at the Sandals down there -- best thing is, there are 3 Sandals resorts and you can dine at any of them. Being that you'll be going in late August, you're just emerging on hurricane season but it's not as risky as if, say, you were going late Sept/Oct.

I've never been to either but FSIL and hubby went to Aruba and they said half the island was obnoxiously windy and the other half is desert.

I've been to Aruba 3 times, it's a beautiful island. There is a windy side that nobody goes to, the other side is all hotels. The little town of Oranjestad is cute with a lot of little bars, restaurants, shopping. The people are so nice, it's a shame the Natalee Halloway case happened, b/c its a very safe island. The water is AMAZING and laying under a hut on the beach is total paradise. FH and I went to Curacao (one of the ABC islands-Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao) in late July last year and the weather was spectacular..maybe it rained one day for half hour, that's it.
If you decide on Aruba, FM me and I can give you tons of restaurant recommendations.
I've never been to St Lucia, but I hear its gorgeous there too. I think either way you can't miss. Good luck!

I've never been to any so I'm not much help, but I'll choose Sandals b/c that's where we were gonna go but choose Ireland instead. LOL

Aruba is one of the prettiest islands I've seen. I'd go there. And the Riu will just be FUN!

I voted Aruba. Ive been there quit a few times and its just absolutely beautiful. The weather is almost always beautiful and the island is just great. So far its my favorite place....
You can go anywhere freely and there's a ton to do.
