Where to have an afterparty?

Where to have an afterparty?

Since our wedding will end at 5:30 FH and I are looking for someplace to have a small afterparty with some family and friends.

Reception is in East Northport but we're looking for someplace in the Smithtown, Nesconset, Ronkonkoma area.

Any ideas??

why not see if any OOT guests are staying at a hotel and then bring the party back there especially if your planning on staying at that hotel that night

We plan on going back to the hotel - we have quite a few OOT.

Agreed! That;s what we're doing...no worries about driving!

In my experience even if you don't have OOT guests people still stay at the hotel. For all of my friends weddings I stayed at the hotels even though we lived close to the RH. Doesn't hurt to block rooms. Then people can go back to the hotel and if they drink too much go right to their rooms. Talk to your hotel about it, maybe they have a space you can use. The hotel we were looking at had a separate bar and restaurant area that they would give us use of.

That's what we did. We continued the party in the hotel lounge since our wedding ended at 7PM.

Our reception ends at 6. We plan on having an afterparty at a hotel.

Even if you don't have OOT guests, its much easier since people may not want to have to drive after a long day/night of partying.

It's a bit father out than you said you are looking at but what about Danfords? They just redid their restaurant into a way cool lounge with a live piano player, tapas, and full cocktail menu. If you wanted to get a room there, you could. The renovated rooms look fantastic.

Check the hotel all your OOT guests are staying. We have about 70 so that is where they are all hanging!
