Where to have wedding

Hello everyone!!
I am new here, I got engaged a few weeks ago on December 10th. I want to have a site booked within the next week. I have a few places I am considering and would like to know opinions/comments (good AND bad!), etc. Also if you have any pics that would be wonderful!!
The places we are considering are
- Crest Hollow
- The Swan Club
- The Metropolitan
- Westbury Manor
- Riviera at Massapequa
We're looking at Sat/Sun afternoon in July or August 2006, and will be also having our ceremony there.I would REALLY appreciate any info you might have.
Thanks sooo much!!!

Re: Where to have wedding

Welcome and congratulates!

I am getting married at the westbury manor in March of 06. We are having our ceremony at the WM. The Westbury Manor does not have a chapel so we are having the ceremony in the same room we are having our reception ( the manor room). The BM told us that there are dividers in the room to block it off from the rest of the room( like a little room inside a room). She showed us some pictures and it looked great. Our CH is in the Library and Conservatory rooms. I am not sure of what the price range would be for August since there is such a huge difference between March and August. He is the website to give you some ideas of what the rooms look like

Congrats on your engagement and welcome to the site .

Of those I'd vote Riviera. We would have booked it but we had too many people to be comfortable in the room. It's so great for a summer wedding, their tiered deck is gorgeous and Vicki was so nice to work with. Good luck!

Definitely look at the Stewart Manor Country Club in Franklin Sq. (www.stewartmanor.com) 1 wedding at a time, pretty gazebo for ceremony or pics, great food, great price.

Our Oct '03 reception was there and we had a blast!!!!

Sorry I don't have a scanner for our pics, but their website has pics so you can get a good idea.

Congrats and good luck,
Donna

We are having it at the Metropolitan.

We love the place, the decor is very nice and the food is truly amazing. You really need to have a tasting with them to be convinced. And price wise they are really reasonable.

FM me if you have any specific questions.

i think you will have a wonderful wedding with those choices. i picked CHCC b/c the price couldn't be beat, esp. since we're getting married on a holiday weekend...
i think you'd have to visit each place... just like the dress you'll know when you find your place when you see it---

good luck and fm me if you need more info. about CHCC.
