sorry, i don't live on long island, but i have been to a couple of salons in the city. try rkbridal. their dresses are very affordable. but beware of the customer service and alterations there. they don't have a very good track record.

I have to say I got all of my dresses at RK Bridal. I had excellent customer service and alterations. I lost 25 pounds between the date I ordered my dress and the wedding. They basically had to remake my entire bodice and it was perfect.

They were really great, they even came down in price for my dress bc it was over my budget but I do think most places will do this, it never hurts to ask what they can do for you. I really do like them...so far so good! And most of my friends got their BM dresses and their dresses from there when they were getting married.

Re: Where to Shop?

I personally did not like Bridal Salon of Bayshore. I went in with a list of about 20 gowns they said they carried, yet they could only find 1. I knew exactly what I wanted and was very specific about what I didn't like. Most of the dresses they brought out for me to try on where not anything like what I was asking for. I ended up at Bridal Suite of Centereach. They were FANTASTIC! Huge selection and better prices!
