Where to start with invitations
This is the next task on my to-do list and I am at a complete loss and feeling a bit overwhelmed by it. So many choices and decisions! Where did you start? I really don't have any idea what I want our invites to look like. Help!

Have you ever been to a stationery shop and looked through their books by crane, checkerboard, william arthur etc. I found this to be a great resource because a. you can see all the pieces to the suite and b. you can actually feel the papers, the ink processes, etc. I know American Greetings in Smith Haven mall has Crane books. I'm sure they carry them in other stores as well.

Re: Where to start with invitations
For us, the design was more important since we're just going to go with the most basic card stock available (not spending extra money for the thicker card stock and potentially more postage since it's heavier).I went through a few different websites and picked out the ones that I liked and that I thought my FH would like (nothing too girly or flowery, etc).
I let him make the decision ultimately. He's letting me have my way with pretty much everything else, so I figured I would let him pick out the save the dates and invites :D
Now, I'm just waiting on a coupon code for the online retailer that we chose.
If you go this route, I would recommend you get working on your wording. Sometimes the sales are only for a few days, and you would be surprised at how much you can change and how long it will take for you both to agree on the changes.
