where to stay in Vegas?

We've never been to Vegas before so I'd like to take FH there after tax season. He'll be working like a dog til April 15th and I want to show him a GREAT time. Which hotel/casino do you recommend us staying in??? TIA!!!

ETA:

Is end of April/beginning of May a good time to go?

How many nights should we stay? (How much time do we need to enjoy it just enough where we'll leave wanting more, but not much more?)

We stayed at the Venetian and it was awesome. There are shops and restaurants downstairs and the way they have the ceiling painted like the sky you have no idea what time it is!! haha. They also have gondola rides there...its where we got engaged!! We were there for 4 days and that was plenty of time any longer is too much!

I don't know your style so each Casino/Hotel has a different feel.
I noticed plenty of Brides on here have all recc different locations.

I personally LOVED Wynn! The other I would also recc is The Venetian.

The Palms is youthful but off the beaten path a little smaller.

I hated MGM too Large and overwhelming - good for dining out.

Don't bother to stay more than 5 days! I find it is just too long for Vegas. You need a vacation from Vacation upon your return.
