Where to take Engagement Pics???? Also, I want our cat in the pics...how do I handle this?
I am about to book our engagment photos or practice session with our photographer. FI and I want something outdoors in a park or something. But I am not sure where to go any ideas????Our photographer is located in Roslyn so I was thinking about that park in Roslyn...anyone know the name??? I think there is a pond there or something.
Also, I really wanted to have our cat in some of the pics. FI likes the idea but doesnt want to deal with it. But I am totally willing to deal with it. Any ideas on how to handle this? I was just thinking I would bring her crate and take some pics with her and then put her back in. FI thinks it will be too long for her to be in the crate. I need opinions.

I would first ask your photographer to see if they are ok with pets. Also you know your cat. Does she get freaked when in car/crate (mine did). Also, do you think she will sit and actually be cooperative. I would bring a lease, so she can't run away. Also, is she used to being outside? My cats where so hyper when we would bring them out on a lease. So be prepared.

She isnt really outside much...just on our terrace while on my lap. She sits by the window all day so she is used to cars and birds etc...she doesnt love the car but I think its just that she is not used to it. Sometimes shes cooperative...If I am holding her...she would probably be ok.I was thinking I would put her on a leash but hold her for a few pics. But just incase she freaked I would have her on the leash.
I dont know...I really want her part of the pics...but now I am getting nervous.

I am just going from ym experience. My cat was such a mush. He loved everyone, used to lie there as kids pulled his tail. then I adopted him, he was lying in the workers plam of her hand sleeping wth all the noise & people around. he was alwys a calm loving cat.one year I wanted to enter him in a cat show (for any type cat). He was totally changed. Freaking, raising his hair, etc. (won, best halloween cat. he was black and white).
Also, whenever we took him in car he cried and cried, and had this look for fear in his eyes.
Ijust don't want you to be surprise if this happends. Or get scratched with him on your lap. Be prepared.

Hmmm - maybe you could have a few pics taken at your home with your cat, so she will be relaxed in a familiar place, and then head off to the park with your FH for the rest of the photo shoot?Good luck!

I had my e-photos taken at the Roslyn Duck Pond - it was so beautiful there and the pictures came out beautiful! If you go there, just don't wear nice shoes b/c there's lots of duck poop in some spots!

I would recommend 'Roslyn Park' right by the studio. If you have the time, try L'Arborium (AKA: The Planting Fields). Either way run it by the studio...but Roslyn Park is beautiful.Welcome New Vendors
