I need your help- I'm getting married July 4th in Brooklyn. I am most likely going to take pictures at the staten island botanical gardens but i was trying to think of somewhere else to go (afterwards) where they wont be charging me $250 for two hours like the gardens. I dont want to spend too much time there because of $$$. Does anyone know of a beautiful area where i wont be hounded by people asking for a permit??

There's parks in Staten Island too. Clove Lakes or you could go to Fort Wadsworth.

I would recommend the Boathouse area in Prospect Park. Took my epics there and I loved them.
But I will think you may have issues anywhere you go since you're getting married on July 4th. There will be a lot of people anywhere you go.
Brooklyn Botanical Gardens is always beautiful but they have a lot of rules you need to follow.

I took my pictures in DUMBO and loved the cobble stone and the bridge, but Brooklyn Botanical Garden is very nice too. Depends on what you are going for. There are some pro pics in my album in DUMBO, just dont know how to post here.

I hate to say this... but depends on the time of day you want to do this. Some of the places mentioned above may not be accessible or convenient for you as it is July 4th. People start to gather around the waterfront really early and set up there. They secure their spots for the fireworks and really go all out... picnic and all, lots of little kids, kites and some pets.
Having said this...the botanical gardens and possibly the boathouse in Prospect Park would yield less traffic than waterfront areas.
