Good question?? I am not sure. When we first starting dating we went to a few dinners together and 2 weddings all in the first month. So I am not sure of the 1st restaurant we went to. Good questions....

A restaraunt in NYC called Soul Cafe(closed now) It was owned by Malik Yoba ( The actor who played a cop on the show New York Uncover)
Now we frequent TGIF's in Sheepshead Bay

I didn't know they closed Soul Cafe FH and I liked that restaurant too. Our first restaurant was TGIF by penn station after we went to the MET of Art musuem. I paid too

I think our fiest restaurant might have been TGIF, but the first real fancy dinner we had was for our first Valentine's Day when we went to Michael's in Brooklyn and to this day it's our favorite restaurant

He took me to the diner! I thought we were going out somewhere fancy and was all dressed up - I have told him since that he was lucky I went out with him again after that experience!
