He proposed at the place where we had our first date and where he told me he loved me. It was so romantic. He did it in the middle of the restaurant in front of everyone and the band playing. We have great pictures of it.

At Argyle Park in Babylon in front of *our* tree on a cold, dark, rainy Thursday night in December right before my company's Christmas party. It was a lot more romantic than it sounds!

haven't told this story in a while, so i will jump at the chance
i should start by saying that FI and i have this joke - when one of us gets mad at the other we threaten each other with a 'knucke sandwich'...
so he took me to the place where we had our first date, and we had a great dinner with some wine, and then the waitress asked us if we were interested in dessert. of course i said YES. so she brings us 1 menu, and the last item on it said 'knuckle sandwich: knuckles of rich chocolate covered with caramel'. so at that point i suspected something was up and i was so SHOCKED that i couldn't stop laughing! FI swore up and down that he had nothing to do with it... but of course, we ordered it. the waitress brought me a box on a dish, and i opened it expecting to find the ring. but it was actually a piece of paper folded really. really small. when i unfolded it i found a picture of his knuckle in between 2 pieces of bread with lettuce and tomato! LOL. Once we were done laughing over that, he told me to turn the picture over, where i found an amazing note that ended with 'will you marry me?'. he took the ring out of his pocket and the rest is history!!
