My favorite place to go was The Angle.. a teen club in Mineola. It later changed it's name to Hotel Leningrad. That place used to get PACKED. My mom was THRILLED to be driving us there from Massapequa :)

Early teens, we'd go to the local pizzeria, play videogames, go to the movies...

later teens - 'The Strip' if anyone knows of Astoria Park...its not the same anymore ! IT would be packed with friends, great fun, the guys would bring the jungle juice and you'd just walk up and down 'The strip' (over looking manhattan) and see how many of your friends were there that nite.
and then we'd go to clubs, bars, etc...

early 20's, met John at 19, so from then and on, its been alot less of the singles scene

Theresa-I went to a wedding last weekend, of a girlfriend that we grew up with, there were a bunch of us there that have known eachother since kindergarten.. My sister asked the DJ to play 'thats what friends are for' and we were all boo-hoo-ing...

It was sooo great...so i can understand your sappy mood
What were some of your fun things ?

Its amazing how you go through sweet 16's, bridal showers and weddings, and then baby showers and kids, withthe same circle of friends.......

OMG sassy I used to hang out at the angle all the time too, when I was a 'waver'... remember that? Remeber the bands they used to get and everyone would *mosh*?! I used to date a guy that was in one of the bands, I thought I was so cool!

When I was a kid & even pre-teen, my friends and I always had to be on Fresh Pond Rd... not much went on there, but we were always just walking around.. waiting.......

High School on LI - we hung out at the HS bleachers, baseball fields, always had to be at the house party, hidden sumps, etc... OH and the parking lot at Tri-County!!!

Sheesh, those were the days! I miss them!

I had many a birthday party there. At one of them...I think it was my 7th....I went on the roller coaster 9 times.

Hang out wise..a Friday night in 8th grade would not pass without my 2 best friends and I hitting Kings Plaza and Gil Hodges Lanes.

It's so funny, I look at those places now and they look like such SHACKS! They were like Disneyland when we were younger!

Jennbaby: You are from Middle Village? When I was younger, I used to always go to Illusions. That place was horrible now that I think about it, but they always had someone there, like TKA or Cynthia and Johnny O...(Edited to say that was one of teh few places that accepted my chalked ID...)
