we will find out where we will be living in march when my FH finds out where he gets placed for his residency...where ever that is is where we will be living after the wedding since it will be for five years!

Long Island...preferably Nassau County.. but the way these prices are going.. we may be sleeping on the street haha

I'd love to stay on Long Island, but I don't know if we'll ever be able to afford a nice house here, so we might head up to the Rockland County area or something.

This is our normal argument! My fiance is from Rockland County, and im obviously from LI. I would love to stay here, but it is too expensive (not that Rockland is any cheaper) but we were thinking maybe Orange County. You get more for your money there and we could afford something nicer! Who knows though, we will figure it out as it gets closer!

Moving to PA in the process of saving for a home probably the pocono region. Just can't afford to buy a house here. You can get so much more for your money there.

guess that question will be answered after FH graduates from NYPD academy and gets a precinct assignment. if he winds up in queens, we'll probably stay somewhere in suffolk county...but if he gets scr*wed, and winds up in like brookyn or manhattan we might move to nassau.

FH, and I have two house in North Carolina, the we broought last year, and this summer, so more than likely we'll probably be here in NY for another year or two, the sell one of the houses flip our money and then either buy another house down there, or in Virginia

I know believe me... I live in Nassau now... I grew up in Garden City... Not the cheapest place in the area...

But I know I can do it... My FH and I bought our Co-op at 23... so it has gone up since then... Hopefully after we sell it, it could be a nice down payment for a studi/1 bedroom house... hahahhahah!
