Who saw last night's episode? Thoughts? Theories? Questions? I wanna know! I thought it was great. I understand why they are going in the direction that they are going in (the two 'realities') and I'm glad they didn't just erase everything these guys have gone through!

Re: Where's my Lost fanatics?
im glad syed isn't gone but wondering what it was that happened to bring him back.
sad that it seems poor john locke really was wrong this whole time and the man in black just has used him for a pawn. or at least... looks that way.
smokey rocked some killings last night.
and ***, parallel universe? c'mon.

Re: Where's my Lost fanatics?
I really feel bad for John Locke. I have rooted for him the whole time!! For 5 effing years I've been on his side!!! I don't believe that's the last we'll see of him. And I don't mean Smokey or FLocke or whatever we wanna call him.
I'm extremely pissed that they brought Juliet back to life just to be killed again. I actually really grew to like her and her and Sawyer together.

Re: Where's my Lost fanatics?
It was awesome to finally get an answer to who/what the smoke monster is.
'Let's not resort to name calling' - Locke
I think Sayid is now Jacob. I don't think Sayid was really dead..medically yes, but his soul wasn't gone and that's why Miles had that puzzled look. I also thought them trying to save him reminded me of a baptism.
It was great to see them landing in LAX and go about their lives. Esau called John's life pitiful, but I thought he seemed rather happy on the plane..and they all seemed 'pitiful' somehow.
It was interesting to see Desmond on it and I wonder what the reasoning for him being on the plane was. Possibly because since the island didn't exist, Widmore didn't have anywhere to send him?..did that chain of events make him NOT meet Jack at the stadium since he was training for the race around the world? Why did Jack seem to recognize him after he said 'Brutha'? Was it deja-vu of a parallel universe or the stadium (if it happened)
Richard Alpert not being 'in chains'..Did he come on the black rock? or was he a servant of Jacob's and now he's free? Maybe now he'll age.
I can keep going

i actually didn't like the episode at all ... i felt like it was a huge let-down.
my biggest question is what Miles 'heard' dead-Sayid saying ... he made a face and someone (was it hurley? jack?) asked him what the face was for and he just shook it off ... i wonder what it was.
i also wanna know why juliet said 'we did it' when they clearly only half did it lol

Blasphemy!! lol
I think it's what Miles didn't hear that made him have that puzzled look.
I think it meant the bomb did go off and they did do it (the reason why the island is underwater in the future) only that there is a parallel universe now..everything was divided...and as Jacob said 'You have a choice'.

ita!
can you imagine if this was just all a dream from Jack while being on the plane? that'd be the sh*ttiest ending imo

I cracked up at 'I'm sorry you had to see me like that.' You and me both FLocke!!
I agree- I think Sayid is now Jacob reincarnated. I think that's why they said at the temple that the paper said 'We'll all be in a lot of trouble if we can't save your friend.' Why was the reflecting/healing pool so muddy? Is it because Jacob was killed? I'm glad Hurley got to take up the leadership reins, however temporary.
I did NOT like them on the Oceanic 815 that lands in LAX. They were all so weird. Even just looking at them, the way they looked, even the way Jack parted his hair- he seemed... not right. Rose and Bernard were happy as clams which is not exactly how I would picture them being since they were supposedly off trying to find a cure for her cancer. Charlie was being a d-bag to Jack, too. I did like that John and Jack were so nice to each other at LAX- they were so opposed to each other on the island- the man of faith vs. the man of science.
I know there's a lot of religious undertones to this season coming up. I've heard a few people say they think the island is purgatory (though the directors have insisted time and again it isn't) and that the 'alternate reality' of the plane landing is the afterlife and that's how Juliet knew 'it worked'. That she got a glimpse of her 'alternate reality' and assumed it was their doing by setting off the bomb.

But if a nuclear bomb went off, the island wouldn't be just submerged, a lot of it would be destroyed. Dharmaville was still intact just underwater, which makes me think it wasn't the bomb at all that put it there.

Re: Where's my Lost fanatics?
omgggg fh and i were sooo confused!!!!
first of all, could they have had ANY MORE COMMERCIALS in the episode!?!?! we literally timed it...and it was at one point 5 mins of show, followed by 6 mins of commercials! and it went back and forth like that the whole time! soooo ridiculous!
vent over
ANYWAYS, i really liked the ep. so glad that we know what/who smokey is now...but i really wanna know WHO the man in black is! is he like....the bad spirit of the island and jacob is the good? and why couldnt they kill eachother all this time?
i dont think sayid is jacob now. sayid got up and said 'what happened?' if he was jacob now, wouldnt he just get up and be like, 'ok let's go!' lol.....
juliet dying all over again...so sad. 'it worked' no clue what she meant tho...SO HAPPY TO SEE BOONE AND CHARLIE AGAIN! ahhhh i love them!!!!!
parallel universe? ***??? i'm guessing jack just has deja vu....
soooo confused but cant wait til next week!!!!!

Could it have moved then? Probably another question for us to wonder about for a while
I also liked John and Jack talking and being cordial. VERY different than the island.
'Nothing is irreversable'...pretty big statement and I don't mean from a medical standpoint.
Lu2700: The MIB is definitely the bad guy. He wears black and Jacob wore white, pretty symbolic. I don't know why they can't touch each other but boy did FLocke figure out how to kill Jacob.

'Nothing is irreversible.' Probably the most poignant line in the whole episode. I guess Jack (maybe, sorta) proved that statement true since somehow, somewhere, somewhen they are back on 815.
I never really thought about how different things in the world could be based on their choice to detonate the bomb. They were thinking in terms of their lives, the crash, the island and not the big picture. I wonder what other surprises the alternate reality is going to have.
And why is Hurley so damn happy? Are the numbers NOT cursed now? He still won the lotto, but now he considers himself 'the luckiest man alive'!

Re: Where's my Lost fanatics?
I totally loved this episode!!!
I can't figure out *** was up w/ Desmond on the plane, but it was good to see him again - he's hot!
Also - loved Charlie & Boone making a comback...but where was Shannon? She couldn't come back to film?
I'm SO curious as to *** happened with Miles and Juliet - what worked? He couldn't hear Sayid b/c Sayid either wasn't dead or he was dead but had nothing to say/something bad to say?
I wish Daniel Faraday would come back! He's my #1 fave!

I'm glad Boone and Charlie were back, too. I LOVE Charlie. And I love the fact that Desmond named his son Charlie. I wonder if that means everyone is back- Libby, Ana Lucia, Eko, Michael, Walt; I didn't see any of them on the plane either, but they must be there!
From what I read though, Shannon will be back even though she wasn't on the plane- that part was planned.
I still want to figure out Ben Linus, too. Is he good or bad? W*T*F?!

Yeah I was never too clear on her situation. She was in that cabin with Christian Shephard, her and Jack's dad. And when someone (I forget who) came looking for her she said 'Don't worry about me, I'm with him.'
Another thing someone pointed out to me was that the cabin was circled in ash- the same ash that kept the smoke monster at bay. Was Jacob being kept safe in that cabin or was Smokey being kept locked up in that cabin?

i thought last night's episode(s) were great. it is so poignant to see what everyone's lives are like if they didn't crash on the island. so many of them were better off on the island!
also - so glad to see my favorite hotties. boone yum.
i'm so confused as to why shannon wasn't on the plane.

I think I just lost hope on guessing I didn't even think of the 'nothing is irreversable line' until you ladies brought it up! You are all SO SMART!!!
