FH and I are planning to go on vacation in August with all our friends. We want to rent a house on or very close to the beach, but we want nightlife (bars, pubs, etc.) to be close by. Any ideas of places that might be good for this?
I thought of Daytona Beach but other than that, im out of ideas.

Last summer my brother and his friends rented this incredible house in Rhode Island -- I believe it was in Narangansett. It was in sight or walking distance of the beaches. Kinda Hamptons-ish. Is this kinda what you're looking for? There were winerys there, restaurants. It's a busy place in the summer.

we rent on Long Beach Island New Jersey. We always got a house a 1/2 block to a block from a private beach.
