Now that the big day is on it's way FH & I have decided to merge our $$$$$$$$$$. What banks do you ladies reccomend or not reccomend?

I love HSBC - I can go anywhere in the world and they have a bank there!!!!! I travel a lot, so this comes in handy!!!!

I really like Chase and Wachovia. Washington Mutual has given me problems in the past and I wont ever use them again.

my personal account is astoria federal which i love and have no problems with, when we merged we joined commerce, which i also love, expecially that they are open late and no fees

i use HSBC as well, b/c i travel alot. it was also the only bank that they have here that is also in australia and we wont get charged when we use HSBC ATMs.
we also use qantas credit union account, but i dont think you can get that here or it isnt offered to the public.
i heard ING is really good.

I love commerce! We recently moved and there isnt one nearby but i am still refusing to change banks because they are the only one I never had a problem with!

I have accounts at soooo many banks
Citibank - checking, savings, money market & e-savings (5%) Washington Mutual - business checking Bank of America - checking & business checking HSBC - mortgage, savings (5.05%) Emigrant - American Dream savings (5%) ING - savings (4.35%) Wachovia - checking Chase - mortgage
Although I use Citibank the most (automatic deductions for many bills) I think HSBC has been the most convenient when traveling out of the US. DH also banks with HSBC (did before I met him).
I plan to try Commerce soon just because they have such great hours.

I love commerce Bank. They have late hours and open 7 days a week also checks clear 1 day!!
I am using ING for wedding savings. They have 4.25% and it changes but never goes below 4%. They also have it set up where you can have them auto deduct money from any account into thier account. I love it!

i love ING - bc of the high interest BUT also bc if you need the money it takes 24 hours to get to so NO impulse buys!

Im so glad to see everyone LOVES Commerce because I work for them!!!
Our rates arent the best (Hey, even I have a Capital ONe online savings) but you cant beat our checking accounts - they are free, we are open seven days a week (730am-8pm mon-fri), and checks clear in one day!!

Chase has free checking when you have Direct Deposit and they have great loan/mortgage programs when you're ready to a buy house. I've had Chase for about 6 yrs. and never ever had a problem.

I have used a lot of banks... my favorite has been Teachers Federal Credit Union... however Bank of NY was pretty good, until i had an issue with a check problem and they were not nice about helping me to fix i t...
they are even opening a new TFCU in rocky point!

I work for North Fork Bank, which is now going to be Capital One - so I have accounts there. I also have an ING savings account though.

Same with us.. we have our own accounts at different banks but we have a joint one at commerce! I love that they are open 7 days a week!! Then we have an ING account! The ING was the BEST thing we ever did!!
