So I ordered 20 dresses and I have 4 bridesmaids, we're all going to get together next Friday. They will try them all on and we will collectively make a decision. I need advice of which way to sway them...
I have to preface this by saying that 2 of my BM's are my younger sisters and FH's sister is too. My MOH is the same age. So all the 'typical' BM dresses look bad on them since they are all so petite.. My sisters are 14 and 19, FH's sister is 22. MOH is 25.
Wedding is a night wedding Sunday of Labor Day at OFC, I want the wedding to have a vintage simple elegant feel..
1st: Bloomingdales - BCBG (looks a lot shorter on model than it is)
My opinion: It's cute and I like it but I'm nervous that it's not dressy enough and the little part that sticks out will be sewn down. After sale it was only $70
2nd: Amazon - BCBG (I like it but it's a little shiny) My opinion: it's cute and I think it's dressier than the first one but I'm nervous about it being too short... $65 w/free shipping
3rd J Crew (might be too conservative) I just ordered it yesterday so I haven't seen it in person yet..
I voted #2, but I like the 3rd one also. The color of the 3rd one is SO pretty!!

I think the 3rd one is more formal and 1 & 2 are more fun but all of them are really pretty!! I'm voting for 3 just bc it's a Saturday night wedding and I think it's the most elegant of the 3. If you don't like it in person my 2nd choice would be 1

i actually really like #2, as long as it's not that short on your girls. if it's regular length, it would be my pick..
otherwise i really like the JC dress. it's so classic.
i think #1 is a little casual for a night wedding, IMO.

i like the first one you can always jazz it up with fancy jewelry, shoes or a broach on the dress

#3 all the way!!! The J Crew dress is definitely vintage, simple and elegant. I didn't get that feeling from any of the other dresses

I like the third one.
I'd wear the first two to go out and look sexy in but the third looks more elegant for a wedding.

I'm crashing here! I did not go with a typical bridesmaids dress, my girls ended up with a floor-length black BCBG dress that they abolsutely loved and will wear again. i love that you are being less traditional and looking for dresses of the rack.

Of your choices - I love the third one the best. Did you get the new j crew catalog? It had a HUGE selection of bridesmaids dresses in amazing fabrics and silhouettes. The j.crew bridal store on madison avenue is supposedly incredible and I have been dying to go there. You should take a look!

Thanks!! I went to the J.Crew bridal store and saw the swatch of the dress that I ordered. The problem with the store was that everything was expensive. It's not expensive generally speaking but 3 of my bridesmaids are having their parents pay for dresses and don't want to spend over $100 on a dress. This J.Crew one happened to be on sale of $150 and 30% off so it was only $105.
