Which Brand Should I Pick

Which Brand Should I Pick

I need to register for knives and I'm not sure which brand is better. I know Henckles (sp) is supposed to be really good. I saw a Calphalon knife set that I really liked though. I've never heard of Calphalon for knives, I know they are know for pots and pans though. Does anyone have opinions on which brand is better? The lady at Bed Bath and Beyond was no help, she was just trying to get me to register for the most expensive ones. TIA

They did that to me too at BBB. I was in the same situation as you. My cousin helped me out (she cooks a lot). She told me that Henckles are great knives. Sorry I hope this helps!

When I went to Bloomie's, the sales person said that the blades are pretty standard across most brands. The price increase is usually based on the handles. The more expensive knives usually have handles that are weighted perfectly, so that you don't have to use as much force when cutting.

So, we decided to go with the Hankels.
