Well, I have a terrible fear of heights and flying. And I wanted to ask her if anyone ever used skydiving to overcome those fears or if that would be crazy? I was thinking about places to go on our honeymoon and I keep thinking about the flight and panicking. I also cancelled my bachelorette party from South Beach and changed it to AC because I dont wanna fly before my wedding. I have horrible nightmares. I need some type of therapy and I thought maybe jumping out of a plane would help! What does everyone else think? Am I nuts?

I think you're nuts. I did it, but I'm not afraid of heights.

I think you would be absolutely terrified on the way down and it would be the most traumatic experience of your life. I'm not being sarcastic. I was petrified when they opened the door, I think for someone who's afraid normally, it would set off a real panic attack.

I think you should take baby steps and start climbing a ladder first.

dont think youre nuts...i am not afraid of heights but i have a fear of large bodies of water lol...i was terrified a few years ago to go snorkeling but i decided to just do it and overcome my fear, the first time i had to get right out of the water bc i panicked real bad, and water went up the tube the wrong way and i kept swallowing too much water and i panicked, i started crying lol...then a few days later i decided to give it another try and i LOOOVED it. The scenario was different bc the first time was on a big boat, 2nd time a small boat, the first time i had 50 ppl around me snorkeling and the 2nd time it was just 7 of us...it was alot more calm and at the end i was the last to get out of the water and loved it. So yeah the only way to get over your fear i do think is just facing it

I dont know. I used to be such a daredevil. I used to go on every roller coaster, and lately I feel like I cant even do that. I did experience something traumatic last March and I feel like I will never be able to enjoy that falling feeling again. I used to love that first fall on the roller coaster, now thinking about it makes my body numb. I wanna be a daredevil again!

its real hard i know to get over it...I was NEVER afraid of flying and a few years ago actually on the way back from the same trip i went snorkeling, our plane got stuck in the middle of a real bad storm, all the luggage overhead fell, the foodcart flew down the aisle the stewardess screamed and ran to a seat and put her seatbelt on, it was real bad and we were actually going down QUICKLY, we went a few thousand feet in a few short seconds...I honest to god thought thats it, it was over...it took a while for me to get back on a plane and even up until the last time which was in august i still get a bit nervous but doing alot better. But at the same time i think about how the pilot was able to get out of a bad situation, he wasn't warned about the storm.

WOW! I was in a 'kiss your *** goodbye' situation like that too once. I thought I was done and the lady next to me even grabbed my hand. But I still got back on planes after that. I had to. I havent had to fly for over a year after 2 years of flying 3 times a week and I feel like the break in flying has made it worse mixed with my traumatic experience last year. Im like DONE! I wanna fix it though! Why cant we just teleport?

yeah the longer you wait the worse it is, at least from my experience. On the plane i didnt say a word, i was sitting next to my friend who was SOOO afraid of flying and it was only her 2nd time on a plane so of course this happens. She was screaming the WHOLE time at the top of her lungs so i was trying to calm her down which helped me bc i focused on her, but oh boy did everyone else on the plane hate her bc there were so many parents with kids next to us who were terrified as is and i dont think the screaming helped them but oh well what do they want her to do, not like she can control it
