Which cake sounds good?w/ Poll & Pics

Which cake sounds good?w/ Poll & Pics

I dont want the plain yellow cake or white cake... that is too bland for FH & I.

Buttercream will be the icing for all.
I had no idea that deciding on a cake can be so difficult. What are your fillings??

Pics are our top three choices

Thank you, Ladies

The last cake is the cake I am going for, I love that simple, white look. I would go for the vanilla cake and/or strawberry/rasberry. Either way, it will all be sooo good

I would definetly go with the vanilla cake with either a strawberry or rasberry filling. We are thinking of doing a chocolate cake with a white chocolate mousse filling, but knowing FH he will change his mind.

I highly recommend you either have a tasting or buy a sample cake, so you can taste your bakery's options for both cake flavors and fillings...

berries and cream were highly recommended at our bakery.... everyone was raving about it.... we tasted it, and we found the whipped cream to taste VERY fake, likely becuase they used too much sugar and gelatin in order to stabilize the cream. (Whipped cream otherwise would collapse very quickly...)

We ended up with chocolate mousse and mocha buttercream with a chocolate cake.... (unlike whipped cream, mousse doesn't require any stabilizers, becuase it already has several egg yolks which stiffen it up.... it tasted great!)

thank you- portjeffbride.

we are going to have small tasting cakes made for each of our choices just to make sure the combos go well. I just LOVE lemon cake OMG!!!

thanks for the good advice

I picked the pound cake...i love the exterior look, but pound cake is such a great choice for coffee and tea...yum...

I dont think you can go wrong with the vanilla/strawberries -it's a cake most people would enjoy.

Re: Which cake sounds good?w/ Poll & Pics

I like the square cakes, so my vote for either No.1 or No.2

Re: Which cake sounds good?w/ Poll & Pics

i LOVE the look of cake #1 and #3, and my vote is for the vanilla cake with starwberries or rasberries YUM!

Re: Which cake sounds good?w/ Poll & Pics

sorry..none of them i like. I'm a chocolate kind of person..the darker the better

Re: Which cake sounds good?w/ Poll & Pics

I like the 1st cake with vanilla & strawberry filling

Re: Which cake sounds good?w/ Poll & Pics

i'm definitely more of a chocolate person, but if i had to choose, i'd definitely go with lemon and raspberry. the tart/sweet thing gets me every time. good luck - enjoy your tasting!!
