Re: Which coffee maker did you register for?
We just bought the Cuisinart 12-cup coffeemaker (not the grind-and-brew)...I am a serious coffee addict, and my old coffeemaker (a Krups, incidentally) started leaking all over the counter. The Cuisinart has been fantastic so far -- makes a very tasty cup of coffee, and it's super easy to use. I did some research before I bought it, and apparently the grind-and-brew version is a pain in the butt to clean, but the just-brew version has been great so far.

Cuisinart 10-cup grind and brew. Grind and brew is key IMO because the shorter the time between the time the coffee is ground and when it's brewed, the better it is. I did a stint at Starbucks in high school

Ditto!
Me, too!!
Have you ever tried that coffee maker before? The reason I ask is because I did, and it's not so good. it has way too many parts to clean and the coffee tastes so-so.
Yes, we've tried it. My FMIL has it and we've never had any problems and the coffee (the one that she grinds anyway) comes out really good.
same here!!!!!!!!!
