WHICH COMBINATION COURSE?????

Which Duet Course for the Reception:

Warm Lump Crab Cake
Pan Seared Lump Crab Cake, Spicy Tomato Remoulade with Grilled Corn Over Hybrid Lettuce

or

Thai Salad
Mizzuna and Frisee tossed with Diakon Radish,
Carrots and Shitake Mushrooms
with Sesame Vinaigrette and Fried Rice Noodles
Served with Raspberry Glazed Duck Breast

This is the only appetizer course- as it is one of those combinations courses.... I am a little worried about not offering more to my Italian family but it will save dancing time....

I guess I am really looking for the choice that will suit most guests taste.....

I am just worried that guests who don't eat seafood will be like-- what the...

I guess i am thinking that bc my fi and i are not seafood people but the carlyle's crab cakes are out of this world.. and then i feel like the thai salad is different and sounds like a lot...

Re: Which Combination Course?

My preference would definitely be the crab cakes.

I love crab cakes so I would choose that one. We opted against it though because we chose crabcakes as a passed hors d'oerves. I noticed you didn't list the 'tuscan bistro'. That's what we ended up going with. I just wasn't sure if the Thai salad would appeal to as many people.

Crab cakes are awesome BUT seafood (shellfish) allergies are something to consider. Very violent allergies. If it is REAL crab then Id go for the Thai salad. If the crab is that fake stuff, then stick with it. Or at least provide an alternative.

I would say the crab cake and would LOVE to be served that at a wedding. While it is true that some people might not eat seafood, there are others (like myself) who don't eat duck.

I really wouldn't like either one, but since I hate seafood, I'd pick the salad.

Not to cause more problems but a lot of people have allergies to Thai food. DH is deathly allergic. You can't please everyone though so use your best judgement with your knowledge of your guests.
