Which comes first??

Which comes first??

When color coordinating flowers with BM's dresses, which would you take care of first? Pick out a definite color for the dress, or book the flowers? I'm clueless

I don't know if there is a set order, but I picked my BM dresses first, than chose the flowers.

I picked BM dress color first & then thought of a same color scheme but not exact because I want the flowers to stand out

i would pick the dress first. you could have an idea in mind but when it comes time to pick the dress you may change your mind.

I would pick out the colors you want, then the bridesmaids dresses and then onto your flowers...

I picked dress color before flowers, but i think it could go either way

I was told by 2 florists to pick dress first because the color you think you're getting might change and they were right!! Mine changed from maroon to purple.

it depends on you - there are brides who picked out bm dresses based on their favourite flower and vice versa.

I picked out my BM dress color first then my florist asked me for a swatch so he can suggest colors

How far in advance did you all order BM dresses? I plan on ordering from J.Crew but my wedding isn't until July 2011 so I don't know if colors/dresses may change soon...

Florist told me to get the dress first and then well take it from there!
