July 2011 wedding is planned and I'm holding off on searching for my gown until September in hopes of dropping a few pounds and feeling more comfortable when trying on dresses. Should I hold off on searching for BM dresses? Does it matter? Thanks!

Bridal gown! They take much longer than BM dresses to come in.

Eh, it's hard to judge. They always say that- in fact they told me 9 months for my gown and it came in 2 months instead! For a July Wedding, I'd order in December the latest. My BM dresses took maybe a month to come in.

Get your dress first so that you can complete the BM dresses with your own. Plus your dress can take up to a year to ship and make etc.

I would def get your dress first. Because you don't know what kind you'll end up falling in love with you. You don't want to end up with a BM dress that's fancier than yours! Timing totally depends on the manufacturer and time of year.

I would say get your dress first, then look for your BM's.

Get your dress first so you can make sure you choose BM dresses that go well with your dress.

I think it's up to you.. I ended up looking at BM dresses right after my gown appt one day, and randomly picking it out so I technically found it before I found my dress (wasnt till a week later)
I am waiting till I pick a bridal salon to use and then will let them order whenever they can from there to get discount. I don't think it really matters which comes first just happens when it happens.. Only thing I would consider is if you have OOT bridal party members or would want to give the girls the option to order when they can for monetary reasons. I'm going to tell them they can start ordering at the end of July and please have it done by the end of Sept
