Re: which dj?

maybe you can do a search on theses dj's (under the Bride's review) and see what people thought. HTH

Re: which dj?

I agree, def do a search on the reviews!!

We booked with Starlight because they seemed to most professional of the ones we met with and the least cheesey and now FH is actually working with them part time- he is into audio and they have the best equipment!! :)

I also booked starlight...i love their equipment, they're the only dj's who dont use dj equipment but instead use concert equipment, their tech guy went on tour for years doing sound and lighting and all that for big concerts. They're also real nice and from reading alot of reviews, every bride said they played everything on their 'MUST PLAY' list, which is important to me, bc some will change it around or not play everything

I second Starlight Express!!!!! I LOVE Vinny!!! he's awesome!! I think they will give us a great party.....even just from seeing them at a showcase I was thoroughly impressed, I've only read positive reviews about them on LIW. Have you met with them yet? I have to say they have really unique lighting columns that look so classy, you should go to a showcase and see for yourself!! good luck!!

ETA- before I even booked with them, they went to my RH to check it out and see how they would set up (since Douglaston Manor was renovated last year, they wanted to check out everything and how it would work w/ their equipment). They are so professional!

ya they use like real sound boards and stuff like that. They even filter the music so it isn't ear piercing.

I would try Feel the Vibe.

www.feelthevibedj.com

They worked for Bodyrock and Starlite and went out on their own.

I used them for my wedding and so did CaMacho, and Lola 0703.

good luck

I'm using In The Mix--love them! My family has used them before and they are great guys and so easy to work with. They will totally work with your budget.

yeah I'm so worried about that. my fiance fell in love with djs unlimited cause their lighting. I told him we can go to Luminous designs or whatever for cool lighting. not to pick the dj cause of that. his good friend who used them his wife said at the last second they had none of her music. def scares me.

FH and I are making a CD with all our must plays and giving it to them as a backup- except Fh said he has absolutly no worries now that he works for them and sees how on top of everything they are. But im still making one as a backup cus it won't do any harm.
