Which DJ should I choose?

Hello ladies,

I have an all inclusive wedding package at my reception hall that includes a choice of 3 different DJs: Above & Beyond Entertainment Inc. in Bohemia, NY; In The Mix DJs in Mineola, NY; After Hours Live Music & DJ Entertainment in Ronkonkoma, NY. I haven't had any personal experiences with any of them so any advice or reviews on any of these DJs would be really appreciated!

Which DJ should I choose?

Do you know if anyone of them will be at any showcases? At least that way you can feel their vibe and see if you like them. Just a suggestion.

I only know of After Hours. Never met with them or anything but I was very impressed when I saw them at a showcase. Everyone loved them

My friend had after hours at her wedding over the summer and I thought they were great! I really liked the mc Phil since he was very energetic so I made sure to request him as my mc for my wedding.

I used in the mix for my sweet 16 about 12 years ago, and worked at a wedding with them this past weekend and they were still great. Above and beyond does a great job as well.

I am using above and beyond for my daughters sweet 16. I met with them and have seen them in action and there awesome.

Above and beyond is my dj from my all inclusive package. I haven't met with them yet though. But I have heard nothing but good things. Afterhours has a big reputation on this site for being good! I know they have a lot of upgrades to offer. In the mix I have seen thier office but don't know them well.

Editied to add 2 additional notes
1... If I had a choice I would make an appointment with all 3 and see who you click with best. I only had a choice with photographers I saw both before making up my mind and I found one to be complete jerks!
2...my venue forewarned me that the dj will push for upgrades that they have in the rooms. Such as uplighting or tvs. They come in every rpom at my venue. So just know before u accepted an upgrade! Good luck!!

I've been fortunate to hear good things about all 3 DJs so I feel I can't go wrong, but meeting with all 3 is good idea.

Thanks for the advice regarding upgrades! My venue has uplighting and TVs as well, I just want them to play music - I don't need all the upgrades and extras lol

Omg me too!! Jealous I didn't get to choose djs they only offered above and beyond when I booked!! But my cousin worked for them so Im not terribly upset!

I actually didn't know I got to choose out of 3 DJs until last week. I booked back in March and Above & Beyond was the only DJ included but I never was contacted by them, unlike the photographer and the limo company. So last week when I was dropping a payment off to the Sterling I mentioned that I haven't heard from the DJ and they said I had to pick one first. Upon seeing the confused look on my face, they said they added In The Mix and After Hours over the past 6 months or so.

I've heard that Above & Beyond is really good, but they seem to predominantly do and advertise for Sweet 16 parties so I wasn't sure how they'd be at a wedding. But I guess if they can handle teenagers they can handle wedding guests lol

Yay venue twins! If it makes u feel better when the sterling was on 4 weddings and won last year the dj was above and beyond....if I had a choice I would look at after hours first. They r very popular!
