Which do you recommend?

So I am planning on going dress shopping within the next few weeks. So far I've tried on at Bridal Suite of Centereach and Bay Shore (and Estelles the first time around just to figure out what style I liked best).

Which bridal shops do you recommend I go to? (Which had best service, price, etc)

I am thinking about trying out Village Bridal and/or Fantasia in Rocky Point. What has been your experience with these places?

Which do you recommend?

I had a good experience at Village Bridal - the girl was friendly and helpful. The rooms where you try on dresses are very small though. I haven't personally been in BS of BayShore in years but ive heard mixed reviews and when Ive called them a few times they havent been very helpful. Their website is also a little deceiving (ie: they advertised on their website they carried a certain line but they do not)

try helens Bridal in commack - they had a great selection and were so great!

The first place I went too was Helens of Commack and I had Ashley, she was so super sweet, I liked that the room was huge and you had the privacy.. she also let me try on anything I like.. Good Prices too!

Then I went to Bridal reflections and had Darren, she was terrible.. I must have told her multiple times I DID not want sparkle, and she kept telling me that this is the one day you can sparkle.. my cousin and my good friend both got there dresses there and they kept raving about it.. so you can try it but hope you do not get who I had.

I have an apt for Thea Tora in Sayville March 7 for their Hailey Page Trunk show - offering 20% off dress, free alterations and free veil.. I will let you know how it goes :)

& then I am going to Klenfields on March 8th Excited for that one!!

Village Bridal in Babylon I had a great experience there. I bought my dress at Bridal Suite of Bay Shore and I found everyone there to be really nice and helpful as well. I also had a good experience at Fantasia in Rocky point and Bridal Reflections in Massapequa....I could go on I went to over 10 stores...just stay far away from Paradise bridal in Patchogue...absolutely terrible

Re: Which do you recommend?

I highly recommend Max Bridal, in Mineola! I got my dress there and my bridesmaid dresses there. They are so helpful and not pushy. It's a smaller store, but I loved their selection. And they only take 1 appointment at a time.

I also went to Bridal Reflections in Massapequa and didn't love it although they had the dress I thought I wanted. They didn't have my appointment and squeezed me in. I just don't like their setup....no comfy chairs for your guests. All the dresses are behind mirrored doors, so hard to just browse.

Which do you recommend?

Absolutely go to Helen's of Commack. I just went there today to try my dress on for the first time since I ordered it. Everyone is wonderful, especially Ashley. My mom found her dress in another store and Helen's ordered it for her and also gave her a better price. We're also looking at tuxedos there.

My dress is Essence of Australia. They carry Maggie Sottero, Casablanca, Allure, and a bunch of others that I can't remember off the top of my head. Prices were the best around and I'm getting a free veil ;)

Which do you recommend?

If you don't mind taking the train into the city, I highly recommend RK Bridal. They don't do appoints. It's walk in, pick 5 dresses and wait for your name it be called. The consultant I worked with was great. After the ones I thought I'd like, I didn't like, she brought more. The bridal manager Lisa, actually brought me what became THE dress. They have so many dresses and their bridesmaid selection is huge too.

NY Bridal Outlet in Farmingdale behind adventure land. Michelle is great to work with. And I love my dress from Pronovias. They have a lot of Maggie Sottero also.

I second Max Bridal in Mineola. I purchased my dress there and the experience was wonderful. I had the entire store to myself and although the store is small they had a beautiful selection of dresses.

Which do you recommend?

Salons I went to: Bridal Suite of Bay Shore, Fantasia, Village Bridal of Babylon, NY BRidal Outlet, and RK.

BS of BS: First salon, I didn't really know what I was looking for but they were nice enough and pulled some decent dresses for me. I fell in love with illusion backs there.
Fantasia: Candy was my attendant , I loved this place! But by the time I had come here, I had already had a certain dress in mind by a designer they didn't carry. They cancelled my appointment on me and I didn't know (it was one of the snowstorms) but made up for it by opening the store early for my on a saturday.
Village Bridal: I went here because they said they carried sophia tolli. They actually told me when I got there that they had moved her collection to NY Bridal Outlet, their sister store. The girl I had, Chrissy, was nice, and pulled tons of dresses for me, but no Sophia Tolli meant I wasn't satisfied.

NY Bridal Outlet - They were nice enough to squeeze me in after I went to Village Bridal, I got to try on my dress again, and the rooms and store were spacious. I liked it here, but only tried on one dress, so I didn't have the full 'experience.'

Rk: This is where I found my dress, but GOD I hated it here. I went on a holiday and waited 3.5 hours to try on 5 dresses that I pulled myself. Thank god I had some dresses and designers pulled, and I found my own dress. Go early if you go here, and go with a list of dresses by designer and style number.

I'm ordering my dress off of bestbridalprices.net and using Zizi to tailor it for me. Throughout this process, I probably tried about 30-40 dresses.

I got my dress and my BM's dresses from Bridal Suite of Centereach. I know you said you tried them, but they have been really helpful and nice with everything. Debbie was great to work with. They were cheaper then BS of Bay Shore.

Did Bridal Suite of Centereach give you a discount on the bridesmaids dresses for buying your dress there as well?

Which do you recommend?

I wasn't very fond of Estelle's. The dresses were pretty but there isn't that big of a selection. They have much more on their website. Plus the service wasn't that great. I carried the dresses by myself but at least they helped me put them on. Honestly the woman who 'helped' was kinda rude and very nosy. Pushy too. It gets crowded quickly too as the bridal section is half bridal and half prom. I have no personal experience with the other salons you mentioned. I found my dress at Demetrios Salon in Manhasset (In the Macy's). They were so nice and so helpful. I worked with Alyssa but literally all the ladies there are to rave about. I just had my first fitting and I couldn't be happier with my choice. They have affordable and beautiful gowns plus frequent trunk shows.

Which do you recommend?

Try Bridal Elegance in Huntington...I went to try the dress I loved there and their price was $400 cheaper than the other stores I went to plus they were very nice. I also had a great experience at Max Bridal in Mineola and Lilettes in Bellmore.
