This is true. My mom would so not feel comfortable in a dress like #2, but if your mom loves and is comfortable, more power to her! Good luck, they're both great dresses.

If that's your mom in the 2nd pic then I would go for #1. I think the other one would be more flattering for her shape. Also, I like #1 better.
