I love candles BUT You need to be careful with the scents. Anything in the vanilla family is usually safe. The Wedding Day Scent one smells nice. But anything else is hot or miss. Though if people dislike the scent they can always regift. Are you thinking of the little votives?

Re: which favor - with poll
My cousin got a 3 or 4 piece Godiva box and a lot of the boxes had missing pieces!
Not sure who she bought them through, though.

It is a fairly small candle - but bigger than a tea candle! it is on the website as custom made favors. they personalize them, and you pick the tulle, ribbon and flower. the end result looks so pretty - $3.20 each ..i thought about buying them with just the personalization at $2.25 each but figured it might be worth it if they decorate them (which i want to make sure before i order- i wonder if they send the tulle, flowers and ribbon separately and i have to assemble!?
i would do one per person. however then that means each couple has two candles. maybe i should do one candle and one godiva per couple.. which would probably come to about the same price because i'd buy half the amount of candles and half the amount of godiva.. i gotta figure out the numbers!
scratch offs - FH does not like dove and lindt chocolates -may do instead of godiva ? almonds as an extra - still might do ? place card frames- which i may add for the right price on ebay ? love coasters silver and crystal bottle stoppers glass votive with tea candle from michaels - wrap myself with ribbon and tulle

I prefer chocolate - the last thing I need is another candle!

I agree. Plus candles are tricky IMO because not everyone likes the same scents. I have thrown away about 25 vanilla candles because I personally hate the smell.

I'm all about chocolate. I voted for the godiva bar, but the 2 piece box would be nice too!

Younger people probably, older people probably not.
Also, do you have a lot of single male guests? Honestly, I don't know too many guys that will get a lot of use out of a candle....JMHO.

If you do chocolates...I'd do the wrapped bars. I have had Godiva chocolates (2 per box) and they were so stale...not good. This also happened one other time with non-godiva chocolate!
