ive never joined a gym or even set foot inside one. but i realize now lol that its good to excercise regardless if you want to lose weight or not, [in my case i dont] ... but id like to be a bit more toned for the wedding and whenever summer comes around...
which gym are you a member of?? any gym thats really good in particular?? i have NO idea thats why im asking...
i see a lot of NYSC- New York Sports Club on long island... any reviews about that??

I go to Bally's Sports Club in NYC.. and it's pretty good... Once you start working out... there's no stopping! I workout 3-4 times a week and I love it.

I've been members of Lucille Roberts, Golds, and LA Fitness. My all time favorite (class wise) was Lucille Roberts. I was a memeber for like 3 years, but then I changed jobs and being their hours of operation arent the greatest I left. Then I went to Gold in Deer Park. Eh, Nothing too great. Ive been a La fitness member for about 2 years. Its very nice. They have a lot to offer. Its clean and they do have classes. If you need an other info feel free to FM me.

FH and I belong to NYSC but I am the only potentially using it right now..ha! At any rate, they are good because there are a lot all over and some of the classes are very good and there is always enough equipment..check with your company, because I know with Fhs and the board of ed, we got a deal...good luck!

I go to NYSC in Garden City. I love it there - have been going for about a year. I also go to the one in East Meadow, Woodmere, Whitestone, and Oceanside and have been to the one in Port Jeff, and White Plains. It is expensive but I think it is totally worth it! I looked at the Ballys and the golds around here but it was much dirtier and not as much to offer! If you have any more questions, feel free to FM!

Looooove NYSC...it's expensive, but so worth it because they are everywhere!! It was amazing when I worked in the city - I would hop around to all different clubs for different classes. And now that I live in NJ, there are two clubs by my apt, and one by work! And then I can work out when I visit LI!!
The classes are awesome- they totally got me out of my plateau and it certainly saves you money - no need for a personal trainer if you go to Total Body Conditioning or Club Strength regularly. If you have a class to go to, it totally keeps you motivated and on a schedule! The classes are very friendly and good-natured and you can always work at your own pace.

When I was in college, I went to Bally's. The campus gym was always crowded I used to go to the gym at my local YMCA ($29 a month) but now that I need to cut back on alot of my expenses I now go to Planet Fitness. $10 a month and it has all the cardio and weight equipment I need

I go to World Gym in Wantagh. It's nice, but they just raised their monthly prices! My job reimburses me for 1/2 my fees, thank god!

me NYSC, FH LA fitness... both gysm are really nice.. but i like NYSC more because there are more of them and each machine has its own tv!!

i've belonged to lucille roberts, and now currently have a membership at Bally's. I have to say as far as classes go they are both equal. but bally's has a lot more equipment.
