IMO the first is a bit more messy (in a good way) and romantic and the second one is more refined and sophisticated... what look are you going for?

i wanted a more romantic look but, FH hates updos and doesnt want my hair to look like a bunch of ribbons. That is why I did the second one but, i think its too flat...

I agree the second is too flat in the back, I prefer the first, but if you don't like either....maybe something else? Are you set on your hair up?

Also, your FH may think he hates updo's but may not be thinking of what this type will look like on you--he may be thinking of something really prom-y and sprayed.....

why dont you show the pics to your FH? i like the first one - its messy in a good way, its romantic and sexy - and its not at all stiff - do you have any pics of it from the front?
