Which Hotel?

Which Hotel?

Has anyone dealt with either the Hilton Hotel in Melville or the Holiday Inn in Plainview?

I was set on the Hilton, but then FIL's decided to check out other hotels for me b/c they thought 20+ minutes to drive from the hotel to the RH was too much (even though I'm getting a shuttle for guests, so they don't have to drive). So they found the Holiday Inn, which saves about 5 minutes in driving. Anywho...has anyone stayed at either and have anything good/bad to say about them? I don't want the in-laws to think their trip was a waste, but at the same time I did like the Hilton better. Any advice would be great! TIA!

I had my wedding at the Holiday Inn and stayed there too. The stay was great and the staff was very helpful. I have no complaints about the room and my OOT guests didn't complain. They have a lounge so they can sit and have a drink or have breakfast (which isn't free) and dinner in Monroe's the restaurant in there. I don't know what the price would be becasue we blocked rooms off and were given a special rate but I think they go for $120 and up for the rooms depending. Overall it is a great hotel in my opinion and it is right off the LIE.

One of our hotels was the Hilton and we were very pleased with the service, rooms, etc. there. DH and I are OOT so we stayed there a couple times as guests, too, while we came up here to plan. No minimum, which was a bonus.

The hotel was about 15 minutes away from our site, Crest Hollow. We did not provide shuttles. I think 15-20 minutes is a reasonable amount of time to drive. With a shuttle, it's even more easy for them.
