Votives usually last longer...they are a bigger candle. It depends what you want to use them for though. I heard many brides recommend tealights for votive placecards because they don't get too hot, so people won't get burned. HTH!

a friend of mine had a problem with tealights staying 'lit up' during a reception.

my vote is for votives...especially since the holders come in many colors so you can create a nice glow in whatever colors you want.

tealights dont last as long... even around my house... i would use the votives... unless you want to combine them to make an effect for then to turn off...

Votives, I know even at my home tea lights go out so quickly.

Votives are much more long lasting - tealights burn out very quickly
