Which is the best David's Bridal.... or anothe place??

HELP!!!

Ok.. so I want to go to David's Bridal for shoes... and also to look at a BM dress I found online (and I'll look at bags and jewelry as well - I figure accessories can't be so bad there right??).

Those of you that have gone to David's Bridal... what, in your opinion is the best on to go to? Alteration wise, Customer Service wise, crowd wise, and quality wise.

ANY opinions are GREATLY appreciated... negative or positive.

I bought my jamaica dress there and their alteration prices were OUTRAGEOUS! They are really nice, the dresses are great, huge selection. So if you buy from there you might just want to find a private seamstress.

Kerri - I'm going to be EXTREMELY honest...

I went to the DB in Queens this past weekend to look at BM dresses. The sales rep they gave me was quick and honest. But I didn't like the fabric of the dress. Plus the jewerly was EXPENSIVE!! She also reccomended me to buy the dresses and get it altered at another place..

So I returned back to the lady who is altering my dress and she is doing all custom dresses similar to DB style but in a better fabric and all for the same price. PLUS she dyes clothes and shoes. She is awesome! On top of that she sells jewerly and veils.. I checked off a lot just by going to one lady!! All in a less than 4 hours!!!

So what you are saying is that you took the design to this woman and she custom made you BM dresses for the same price DB was going to run? And she has jewelry?? haha this might work for me as well!!! I just might be in love with you by the end of the day!!!

EDIT TO ADD: I am a little nervous about having someone make the dress from scratch. Is this a popular thing to do? I don't want there to be any mistakes or problems. I get scared about that.

Lake Grove is in Suffolk County on Long Island. Not sure where you are coming from, but I would say its's about an hour and 20 minutes from Queens on the South Shore. ( That's where the Smithhaven mall is, if that helps!)

No problem! There's nothing wrong with not knowing where someplace is, there are a thousand towns on LI! That's what were here for! If it's something not in Queens or Long Island, I don't know where anything is or what direction!

Kerri - believe me when I tell you the LADY is a professional!!!

She is ACTUALLY altering my ALLURE dress!! And I was not scared at all!! She gets recommendations from all parts of the city!! She has a small shop but she is a busy bee and quick!! She was make a dress from scratch and it looked like a High End Designer Dress!! My Sister/ MOH said 'that lady knows what she is doing!! '
