I am curious too!! I joined Napster the other day only to cancel it an hour later. I thought the fee I had to pay would let me get the music, then I found out it was 99 cents for each song I wanted to burn.
I have used bearshare in the past, the free version. It stinks because you get a lot of junk popping up, but I usually dowload all the songs I want then delete the whole system from my computer to get rid of all the junk and pop ups.

I use Itunes.
Also try airmp3.com (they are free and you don't have to download any programs onto your computer)

We also use itunes. Its .99 for every song you download. DH made a CD already! Its great cuz now we make DVD's too, so the more music we have, the better.
