Which is the correct way to wear

your wedding band and engagement ring? I've read two different customs and i'm just wondering what you girls are planning on doing?

Wedding band below the E- ring making it closer to the heart.

Wear the wedding band above the E-ring - to seal and protect the promise that is symbolized by the E-ring with the wedding band which represents their forever commitment to eachother

My jewler told us that the wedding ring goes closest to your heart.

i've only heard the first way, never heard of the latter theory, but it sounds dweet ttoo!
although i will probably wear it with the bank closest to my finger and the e-ring above it

I want to wear it closer to my heart since this is what I know as typical...but my ering was a little big on my and I have to have two gold pieces put in under the band to make it fit tighter...since my wedding band will be sized correctly, wearing it on top of the ering is like a second insurance that i wont lose my ering..and my ering is alot more $ than band..

I was always told your wedding band goes on the inside. I had an insert custom made because I didnt think that way was for me it seemed to off balance.

I guess I'm the odd one bc I always thought you wore the wedding band on top and the e-ring closer to your heart. I just figured since I'll be wearing my e-ring at the wedding, FH is going to then put the band on top so that's the way it was supposed to go lol. Now I have to think about it!

Its funny you brought this up, i noticed this weekend that my friend has hers the other way and it just looked strange to me!

I'm planning on wearing the my wedding band on top of my e-ring. I like the protecting the promise idea and with the design of my e-ring i think it looks better

wedding band first.. then engagement ring. because technically your engagament ring isnt on when you are at the alter and you are not suppose to take off your wedding band so the e-ring goes on top of it.
