Looking for suggestions on potential HM destinations. Preferably looking for a very friendly island with lots of stuff to do (snorkeling, sightseeing, etc)...
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

I've heard really good things about Turks and Caicos(sp?), which is one place we are thinking of. Never been there though.

I have to agree with Jennbaby. I spent 8 days in Aruba and the people were very friendly, beaches were great, shopping was great, snorkeling was great.....
I was in St. Maarten for six hours on a cruise and I didn't want to get back on the ship it was so pretty.

I spent a week in St Maarten/St Martin. There is a great night life there, plenty of watersports, a whole bunch of shopping. It is the only island that is shared by two countries, Dutch and French. So it's like going to two countries. French cuisine is awesome, but dutch side is friendlier. French side is kind of expensive, but there is a beautiful resort there called La Sammana. Right off a seacliff, absolutely beautiful. If you want to stay on the dutch side which is cheaper, I recommend the Divi Little Bay resort. That's where I stayed. This hotel is on it's own peninsula and the service is top notch. They have a website: divilittlebay.com

Forgot to mention St Maarten is so friendly I was considering moving there permanantely. I met so many people my age that told me if I ever decided to move there they would help me out!!!

That's one area we haven't been too, but plan to go this year. We're considering St. Lucia.

Tobago is my all time favorite place, tourism hasnt completely hit there yet, so its amazing..very isolated, romantic...my favorite place in the world to go...we go every year!

We LOVED Grenada!!!!!!!!!!!! We honeymooned there at www.laluna.com and it was soooo romantic.

We did not like Puerto Rico. I thought Bermuda was ok...too small. We really liked Barbados (more luxurious than the other islands and better food).

I love Dominican Republic: lots to do, friendly people, amazing beaches.... I've also heard great things about Aruba but I've never been.

I stayed at the Allegro in Aruba. We didn't go for the honeymoon, went a different time. It is all inclusive and was very nice.

All the carribean islands pretty much look the same but there is one that stands out. Grand Cayman is absoulety beautiful. I would really look in to it.
