Okay, so I have never been to the Carribean. I am not so much a beach kinda girl but I am looking forward to sitting in a chair in the sun somewhere after this wedding is over !!
We ruled out Hawaii -too far for just a week. Same goes for Tahiti, Bora Bora etc.
This leaves us Mexico and the Carribean. I looked at some planning sites but I would love some first hand advice.
So far, I think I like Aruba or St. Marteen. We want something elegant, romantic and kind of out of the way but not too far off the beaten track that we're stuck in the middle of nowhere. I'd rather not have to rent a car either. Also, I am thinking a private beach is a must and while I love kids, I would rather spend my honeymoon trying to make one rather than dealing with them running around all over the place.

I am not a beach person myself neither is my DH. We went to the Four Seasons in Nevis....freaking awesome. We ended up staying longer. Rainforests, horseback riding on the beach, private sailing and snorkling, awesome. Expensive, yeah, but so worth it for us.

we just went on a cruise in october to san juan, st martin, st thomas, antigua and the bahamas and i absolutely loved st martin.....by far it was my favorite!
