Which Location for Pics?

I really really really loooove OWG, brooklyn botanical gardens is also nice, but i know for OWG if you take your wedding pics there then your epics fee is waived.

Also, OWG is like 45 minutes away (without traffic, could be like 1.5 hours) and im just concerned that the day of we'll be stuck in traffic, figure it takes us 2 hour to get there and back, we'll only have about an hour and a half there and will make it back right as cocktail hour starts (this is all assuming that were on time for ceremony etc

What do you girls think?

I love love love Brooklyn Botantical Gardens, its just gorgeous there, I would go there!

I would probably do Brooklyn...depending on your timing. With the clock changing the morning of your wedding...it will get dark earlier. Do you have enough time to get in daylight pics? Also, the traffic may stress you out more than it's worth

I think BBG is so nice. OWG is nice too, but it is out of the way. Its a hard desicion, but I say do BBG.

I say Botanical Gardens - its so beautiful there and OWG is out of the way, so my vote to BBG

I would say Brooklyn..... its beautiful... OWG is beautiful but the drive and traffic might be a nightmare the less stress you put on yourself that day the better.

For the sake of convenience BBG seems to be the best choice. I didn't know that though about the e-pics fee being waived at OWG if you book there, that's pretty cool!

Brooklyn Botanic Gardens: WHen I took a photography class, we had to choose a 'subject' for our final gallery showing, and I chose BBG; it was in November that I had to shoot it. What's nice about it is that the walkways and architecture is beautiful in the fall/winter, and the texture you get from the turning/falling leaves makes for stunning black and white photos. I've never been to OWG in the fall, but I can't imagine it having the options that BBG has for that time of year. Why not also take your ephotos there in April when the cherry blossoms are in bloom, or in June by the rose garden?

i am partial to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens because we are doing pictures there. we just love the Cherry Blossoms.

just so you are aware the permit is $250 for a 45 minute session. & you are only allowed to bring 20 people. you will receive a rain date in case it does rain & its good for a one year period. permits do not start until January 2, 2010 for 2010.

45 minutes??!!! thats it? is this normal? lol and im assuming its the same guildlines for epics aswell right?
