Re: Which locks are best?
I used Schlage for when we bought our condo and when me moved into our home after it was built. They are available at Home Depot

Re: Which locks are best?
I usually go with Medeco which combines the best price and quality. You can get them at Home Depot as well. But what I usually do is just hire a locksmith to come in... sell me the locks and professionally install them (so i know its don't right).

Thanks everyone. I think we will get a locksmith and most likely go w/Medeco.

Re: Which locks are best?
If you like the locks you have, you don't have to replace them. A locksmith can re-key them so the old keys don't work, and the locksmith will make new keys for you.If you don't want to do that, my DH says Medeco are the only locks worth anything.

Re: Which locks are best?
I just locked myself out recently so the locksmith gave me a run down on this. He couldn't pick the Schlage lock in the front - he said he'd have to drill through it to get it open. However, the Kwikset lock in the back was open in 5 seconds an he said those can be picked with some simple tools from a hardware store...we just replaced it with a Schlage. He said Baldwin is also a very good alternative to Schlage if you have an odd shaped/sized lock to fit like in an old house. They have really good quality and more options than Schlage.Welcome New Vendors
