Which one would you choose...pre cana or engaged encounter weekend?
I don;t know which one to choose. FH and I want to complete the Pre-Cana conferences early enough so we don;t forget and wait until the last minute. The problem is our work schedules. He doesn't get home until 6:30-7pm, sometimes later. I figured completing the engaged encounter weekend would satisfy the requirement and work within our schedules....
what do you think???

When Fh and I were looking into getting married at the church this is what we would have chose because like you my Fh gets in at random times and it would be too hard to schedule the pre-cana meetings for after work. Plus he works Sundays and you are required to go to mass and we couldn't work that out. So yea I say the weekend encounter.

im a little stressed about ftting pre-marital counseling in my schedule too. My pastor will do his best to work with our schedule- but i dread rushing home from work to meet up for 8- one hour sessions.... blaaaahh

pre-cana. you get alot of the classes. They arent that bad and I feel that those weekend encounters can be so boring. We only had to do 3 classes at the pre-cana couples house on a friday night from 7-9 and they would always have cookies and stuff. It wasnt so bad and I know my church did other classes at diffrent houses on saturdays and sundays.

pre cana....the Fh gets home round 7 730 too but our church does them on sunday at like 5 going to the mass and all that so for the 5 sundays we gotta do it in the fall he's gonna work around it...i think it'll be beneficial at least thats what ive heard lol

i would probably rather get it over w/ in a weekend honestly.....if i have to do pre cana it would def have to be in the fall bc i coach in the spring and sometimes isnt home til 9/10ish
