So, I am still on the hunt for a makeup and hair person....the two people I like charge about 3 hundred dollars each. So my question is: Would you spend more money on your makeup or hair???? I can probably afford one of the two vendors so i need your opinion....TIA!!!
Definitely HAIR!!!!!!!!!! Makeup you can get someone reasonable from clinique to do your makeup or you can even go to ulta cosmetics and get a makeup lesson. It is much easier to do your own makeup than to put up your own hair!
If you had to choose, do hair. When I asked my makeup artist/hairstylist (mine did both), she recommended hair. Her reasoning was that most women can do a reasonable job with their faces, but because of angle, access to different equipment, and experiences, hair is best left to the pros.
I would spend more on hair but my question for you is do you love either? I'm paying $225 for hair and makeup. I LOVE the guy and he's coming to me at 5 AM.
I wasn't too fussy with my hair but I am a makeup maven so that was more important than the rest. However I think it is easier to find someone to do your makeup for cheap and decent results than it is to find a hairstylist to do the same.
I'd spend the extra on hair. You should try Fresh Face Forward for makeup, I love them and they are so reasonably priced
