which OOT bag would you prefer

which OOT bag would you prefer

I'm making OOT bags for my friend who's getting married (hi Kristen, if you're lurking.) I have two ideas and I want to see which you all like better. Idea #1 is more like a welcome basket. It would be a full size bottle of wine, two wine glasses, a bottle opener and crackers. Idea #2 is things they may need. I was going to put a big bottle of water and a bag of NY Deli potato chips for snacking. Orange juice and either mini muffins or cereal bar for breakfast. And then the small package of Advil, two toothbrushes, nail file, etc...

#2 - more use out of it, and friendly towards those who don't drink wine.

I'd rather have snacks and water and stuff to use while there for the wedding. DH doesn't drink, so if we were coming, I'd have a whole bottle and would feel guilty if I didn't take the glasses and stuff home with me, but would find it a hassle to pack in my bag.

i like the first one but i think the 2nd one will be more useful for those travelling.

I voted for #1 - I usually remember to bring my toothbrush when I'm traveling....

how about doing the wine bags, then keeping a #2 bag at the front desk of the hotel in case someone needs something?

I like #2 ... it makes more sense for out of town guests. But if you can combine both in some way that would be best

I would love to combine them, but I think it would wind up looking like a mish-mosh of random things.

I LOVE the wine bottle idea, but I think I would rather get the practical stuff (if I were the guest).

the 2nd one is exactly what I'm doing

What if you got some of those mini bottles of wine (they come in the 4 pack) and stick them in the bag with the stuff in #2....

Even though I would love the first, I have to agree that most would get more use out of the 2nd. Eithr one, it is really nice of you to do the baskets for your friend.

The wine is classy but not everyone drinks. They'll get much more use out of the 2nd one just in case they forget something or just want a snack. Besides if you're having a champagne toast at the wedding and an open bar, then there's no need for wine too. Stick to the water bottles for their long trips back home, they'll appreciate that more!

Definitely #2, just the mention of muffins, yummy and may I also suggest coffee and tea.

I'd go with #2 because I would be looking to the bag the morning after most likely and I probably wouldn't want to face the wine!

I agree with the other ladies ... #2 would be my pick!

I really like #2. there will be plenty of drinking at the wedding. When I went to an OOT wedidng in philly the bag had mini water bottles, potato ships with philly eagles on it, tastycakes ( a philly favorite), tissues, philly coloring book and crayons, a little newsetter form the bride and grooom and guidemaps of philly. I really loved it. I actually colored while winding down after the wedding, and the water bottles and snacks came in really handy!

i think the 2nd idea is a lot better especially if you have people only staying one night, they'll get thier fill of drinking at the wedding..even for a longer stay, come t think of it the 2nd is better. I think it's cuter and more fun, more like a goodie bag, and all of that stuff DID come in handy both at the hotel and on the drive home!
