We are going on a cruise for our honeymoon to the caribbean but not sure should we do the Southern or Eastern part???

I never did southern so I can't comment on that but we did an eastern caribbean cruise last may and it was awesome. Although I could have lived without going to the bahamas, I wasn't such a fan of that island.

Well what cruises are you looking at...if you say the specific islands it will stop at i think you can get more input

Really? I had a blast there! I mean, I had to stay by my resort, but I had a good time! Ooh, and I loved haggling at the straw market in Nassau!!

I've been to the Bahamas and I had a great time there. We did the cruise and it was beautiful.

I liked it too, and it was beautiful, the beach and the water...HAHAHAH i liked the straw market too, the people there are great and how they talk.

We went on a cruise to the Western Caribbean. It went to Cozumel, Grand Cayman, and Jamaica.

I've never been there but I know tons of people who have and they all loved it. Gotta be a little more careful about what you say on here... there are quite a few desitnation brides or brides going there for the HM that would find that statement quite offensive... just a little FYI to avoid drama.

I loved the straw market!!! I love the bahamas!!! I cant wait to go to the caribbean to see the pretty blue water!!!

Sorry everybody..I just didn't have a good experience there..But for people who live in the northeast its probably nice..I just lived down in Florida for so long and we would go to the Bahamas for a day trip when there was nothing else to do..It was like a 30 min plane there and I just never had nice things happen

I was just saying this because a lot of stuff can happen there..I had things stolen from my hotel room once when I was there and they have a lot of kidnappings too..It was JMO

People have things stolen in NYC and it continues to be one of the most visited cities in the world and people get kidnapped in this country but people don't leave.... see where I'm going with this....
Don't bite your tongue here and don't apologize for having a certain opinion that may go against the grain, just think about how you put things... certain words around here are buzz words... tacky, trashy, and gross are big ones around here.... just a little food for thought for the future.

I did eastern and western. Waters on the eastern where much calmer. Might have had to do with time of year though. Both times we went in January.

we've been on both, the fun thing about the Southern was we left from Puerto Rico so if you want you can spend a few days before & after there , the other for us left from Maimi

Wow isn't that a bit harsh. I would never consider crystal blue water, gorgeous beaches, amazing weather and gorgeous atmosphere 'gross' in any way shape or form. But I guess to each his own
