If you don't mind going to Manhatten, Ruth's Chris Steakhouse is really nice and the food is really good...FH proposed to me there

Vittorio's in Amityville is also really good for steak - in Nassau, you can try Rothmanns in East Norwich or Frank's with has a location in Jericho or Rockville Centre.

there is a Ruth Chris in Garden City as well

Paces is not owned by Tellers. Tellers owns Prime in Huntington.

Go to Wolfgangs in Tribecca

Any real steak house is pricey. You will not find a good cut of meat under $40 ala carte.

We never order a steak for two.

If you each get an appetizer
and share one steak for one
and get a side dishes....it's plenty.

A steak for two always leaves leftovers and we are big eaters. and big steakhouse eaters at that!

Blackstone in Melville is good for steaks. They are owned by Rothmans. If you really want to spend the bucks, Abel Conklins is good. That's im Huntington. Franks Steaks is a favorite too.
