My sister has a Jetta (currently trying to get out of her lease) and it's had SO many problems! It's only 3 yrs old (about 25k miles). Here are some of the problems:

-Window fell into door (twice!)
-Car shut off while driving on the highway
-Side mirror cover popped off while driving
-Leaking oil a few times
-Break lights go out ALL the time

But, then again my co-worker and best friend both have Jettas and had NO problems so far!

I voted for the scion b/c it's SOOOO cute! Good luck, you have some great cars to choose from.

VW's are good cars except if you ever need parts or maintenance it could get pretty costly. I'd stick to the Nissan Maxima. Great looking car and very reliable!

Why not just go for a Bentley?

I have a jetta, and love it! It's been good for me and I bought it new in 2002.I do agree though,that NOW that it's VERY popular it seems as though the more recent models are made like crap! I have heard people say they have had problems..
Nissan's have a great name, and the maxima is very nice.
