Which side?

Im trying to put together my seating chart and arrange all the tables. Which side does my family sit on? Am I supposed to sit on the left side of the sweetheart table with my family and friends also on the left side? Anyone know?

I never thought about it. I don't think it much matters.

We had both sets our our parents at the same table and then the BP in the tables in front of us and beside them.....then everyone else was just mixed up

Ok, so if when you walk into the reception room, and the bride's family is on the left, that means that i would be to the right of FH when facing my guests? So my family is on the left but I am to the right at FH?

i just looked at the seating chart from my hall and it goes like this..

Bride's guests Grooms guests
Brides Parents Groom Parents
Bride and Groom


all depends how your hall is set up. this scenario assume the dance floor is in the middle
