Which Vegas Hotel would you recommend and why?

I have stayed in a ton of Vegas hotels. My ultimate favorite is the Mirage. I think the rooms are great. You don't get lost in the casino and I love the location.

I also like Paris alot. It is absolutely beautiful. We are going to vegas in two weeks and we are staying at the Rio this time. I have heard great things about it but the main reason we are staying there is that we got comped and are only paying $150 total for 6 nights!! Can't pass that up.

I stayed at the Luxor - which was fun, but if I were going back I'd choose to stay somewhere else - Luxor is fine - but it's all the way at the end of the strip and I wanted to stay closer to the middle.

I LOVED mandalay bay - would love to stay there.

Me too. The spa is so serene and calming. When we got there we upgraded to a suite from the room that we orginally booked for like $15/night extra. It was absolutely beautiful.

I've heard Bellagio and Mandalay Bay are great, but if you are on a budget MGM is a great choice.

stayed at the monte carlo--very nice---IMO there is so much to see& do in vegas that you are never in your room ---so i say go for a less expensive hotel and spend your money on dinner or a show!! PS-when i stayed at the monte carlo, we saw that las vegas tv show being filmed!! the one with nikki cox--it was soo cool!!!

I've stayed at the following:

Monte Carlo - affordable but nothing special

MGM - HUGE Hotel...I don't think I saw the entire hotel for the five days we were there...great rooms...pool area is nice although I think we only used it one time...(time of year we went)

'The Hotel' at Mandalay - AMAZING - worth every penny...the suites are incredible, bathrooms are hugh...flat screen tvs in the living room, bedroom and the bathrooms...the pool area is great (man made beach) and the spa at Mandaly is a MUST...worth every dime

I've never stayed at the Venetian but know plenty of people that have ans said their rooms are amazing...thats my next hotel...you feel like you're in Italy while you're walking through the shopping area...and the gondala rise is a great touch...

We were just there in Aug and stayed at The Golden Nugget in Downtown Vegas. We loved it. The hotel is great and has been recently redone. It is a quick cab ride to the strip. We liked it the best thus far.

We also stayed at the MGM Grand and it is just too big. You had to walk a mile to get anywhere.

The Rio we also really liked but got a crappy room on the 2nd floor.

The reality is that you aren't in your room for very long but I will not stay at a dirty looking hotel.
