So it seems obvious that I would invite those vendors that are spending a lot of time at the event such as the photgrapher, videographer, dj and musician with dj but what about the officiant and the cermony musicians? Would it be wrong if i didn't ask them to stay for dinner? Also, do dj's come with assistants and do I have to feed them too?

Re: Which vendors do I feed?
from the way your title is worded, it sounds like they're all in cages!
I think it's the officiant, the DJ/band, and probably a DOC.....

make sure you ask your hall about vendor meal prices.

DJ or band (all members and assistants included); photographers and assistants; DOC.
Your officiant can be invited (as a regular guest!) - that would NOT fall under the 'vendor's meals' category, though.

Why would you invite the photo/video/DJ? I've heard of inviting the officiant to stay for the reception but everyone else is going to be working during the reception? I know the vendors working through out the reception you should feed.

How does this work, do you actually give them an invite or tell them dinner is included? They assume their eating, right? Oh boy, head count just went up 10!!

They aren't invited, but you do need to provide meals for them. Most RH's charge you only a fraction of the regular price for vendor meals (most are half price).

No, no, no. You always ask them if they want meals to be served and most do. (Some brides have said vendors declined, but so far, my vendors have in their contracts that we will provide a hot meal for them at the reception...)
They don't get an invite, it's just expected.

The original post said which do I invite. I thought that was wierd. I was going to offer meals to my vendors anyway.

Re: Which vendors do I invite for dinner?
In Martha Stewart Magazine (winter o7) she says the officient and his wife (if applies) should be invited for dinner...if they don't know you that well, they usually decline...I was married once before and fed the dj, photographer and videographer...the minister declined when I sent him the invitation...

Re: Which vendors do I invite for dinner?
I am a bit confused with this. Are we talking rehersal dinner or reception?
Reception you feed all vendors. CH charges as such per agreement or if house sometimes they eat for free. Inviting? I think they just get a plate and eat that is why I have seen.
For rehersal just the person marrying you gets invited.
Am I missing something?

Re: Which vendors do I invite for dinner?
We ended up feeding 3 photographers and their lighting assistant, videographer, dj, mc, florist and assistant, 1 of 3 limo drivers because they stuck around, and I think thats it haha, we really wanted to share with everyone we had a great day!
